How do I install Hub:One?

In most cases, it’s simple! If your inverter is already networked, all you need to do is plug Hub:One into router via the provided ethernet cable. From here hub:one will look to see what devices are available on your network and connect to them automatically.

If your inverter isn’t already networked, you’ll need to follow the instructions included with your Hub:One. Most inverters have their own networking capacity, either via wireless dongle or cable, all of which are supported by hub:one.

How does the Hub:One work?

Hub:One provides its time and money saving effect by optimising how your energy is generated, stored and used, as well as strategically working with the grid when buying or selling energy. By default, most renewables don’t consider how to interact efficiently with the other devices or energy grid they’re working alongside.

Through hundreds of daily decisions, hub:one’s energy algorithm works on your behalf.

Which renewable devices are supported?

How does hub:one save me money?

Hub:One uses our energy algorithm to optimally use your energy around your needs and the energy grids pricing. Some examples include making sure your battery covers your needs during peak grid prices, charging your EV during off-peak pricing, selling back to the grid when feed-in prices are higher etc…

We are also developing the Swarm, a virtual power plant, where through thousands of hub:ones working together we can meet the needs of the grid. Set to launch in Q3 2024, this will allow our members to harness premium feed-in rates by selling energy on-masse.
